In the transportation sector, Smart Ticket Machines (STMs) have arisen as automated ticketing options that provide ease and effectiveness for both users operators. The research articles on smart ticket machines analysed in this review of literature are synthesised, including topics like user acceptability, implementation case studies, technology, security, accessibility, data analytics, interaction with mobile apps Internet Things (IoT). emphasises how STMs improve networks' operational effectiveness, passenger satisfaction, sustainability. User acceptability an emphasis usability, dependability, a variety payment choices, critical variables determining success STMs. Implementation studies show increases shorter lines, better revenue collection, satisfied customers. To ensure dependable safe operations, technological factors, hardware, software, security measures, undergone considerable investigation. Usability adherence to accessibility standards prioritised catering groups. Optimised resource allocation, real-time information updates, individualised services made possible through analytics applications IoT.
